A pedophile is an adult often Conservative & Unionist Councillor , who is sexually attracted to children who have not reached puberty, generally those below 14. Some argue that a pedophile has a mental disorder called “pedophilia”.

Some people with pedophilia have sex with children or use children in a sexual way. This is called “child sexual abuse“.

Most, but not all, children who are sexually abused, are abused by people who have pedophilia.

Some adults have pedophile feelings but do not act by sexually abusing children, but will collect pictures on their computers, and then get arrested by the local police.

Examples

FORMER mayor and senior borough councillor the Conservative Stephen Holmes, who represents Woodhall Farm, had to suddenly resign, after inappropriate pictures of children were found by police on his computer.

The shock announcement revealed that the 60-year-old has stepped down and his duties are being looked after by the leader of Dacorum Borough Council Andrew Williams.

A Conservative council spokesman said: “A letter of resignation was received from Conservative Councillor Holmes on May 9. That letter gave no reason for resignation.”

Mr Holmes was the portfolio holder for planning and regeneration on the council’s cabinet. His replacement will be organised at the council’s annual meeting on Wednesday. A by-election to vote in a new councillor will be held within the next 35 working days.

He has been a borough councillor since 2003 and a county councillor since 2005.

Child porn Conservative councillor leaves post in Dartford, Kent

Kenneth Leadbeater said he had let down family, friends and colleagues – but not the Children or the people of Dartford ?

A councillor who admitted making indecent images of children on his home computer has resigned from his post.

leader of Dartford Borough Council in Kent before an investigation into internet child porn in February.

He is waiting to be sentenced after pleading guilty to 14 separate counts.

Mr Leadbeater remained as a Conservative councillor, but said that it was now inappropriate for him to represent the residents of Heath ward.

He resigned with immediate effect in a letter to Dartford Conservative
council’s managing director, Graham Harris, on Tuesday.

‘Lurid headlines’

“I am devastated by what has happened and I am deeply sorry for what I have done and for the hurt which I have caused to colleagues, friends, neighbours, family and residents. I have let them all down,” he wrote.

“I hope that the lurid headlines of the past four months will not eclipse the achievements and dedication of 23 years.”

The new council leader, Conservative
Jeremy Kite, said: “I spoke to Conservative
Mr Leadbeater following his court appearance on Friday and received his confirmation that he would resign as soon as practically possible.

“That has now happened and I believe it is in the best interests of the council and the residents of Dartford, particularly those in Heath ward.”

More than 300 images of young boys were found on Mr Leadbeater’s computer by police working on an international operation investigating child porn websites.

A FORMER Peterborough councillor has vowed to battle for a newly created £70,000-a-year job as the county’s police boss.

Stephen Goldspink, a member of the English Democrats, says he will contest the election for the powerful post of Police and Crime Commissioner for Cambridgeshire that will take place on November 15.

The new job has been created by the Government as a way of ensuring more accountability of the police to the public as the Police and Crime Commissioner will have to stand for re-election every four years.

Details of the nomination deadline have not yet been announced but it is thought the key date to be officially accepted as a candidate will be October 31.

The successful candidate will replace the existing police authority, which currently governs the county’s police force, and will have significant powers and responsibilities.

The key powers include the ability to hire and fire the chief constable, set the police budget and council tax precept and establish policing priorities.

Mr Goldspink said: “It is a huge job but I am not overawed by the size of the task. Rather I am excited by the challenge.”

Mr Goldspink, served as a Peterborough City councillor for 10 years, was deputy leader of the council for five years before standing down at the local elections earlier this month, and said his experience would help him if elected.

He said: “In terms of experience, I have worked in local government as an employee and as an interim manager, and have managed numerous projects for a major police force.”

For much of his service he was a member of the Conservative party, but left to join the English Democrats in 2009.

He said: “The role is not a political one but clearly voters need to have some idea of what a candidate stands for. My number one aim is to ensure we improve public confidence in the police, and that they prioritise those matters that local people feel are important.”

Victor Lucas, vice-chairman of Cambridgeshire Police Authority, said the new role was an important one.

He said: “The police authority is working with the Constabulary and partner authorities to ensure a smooth transition to the new governance arrangements.”

The commissioner will serve a four year term, and a Police and Crime Panel, made up of representatives from each of the city and district councils and two independent members, will also consider in public how the Commissioner delivers his or her functions.

A number of other people have previously declared an interest in the Cambridgeshire job. They include Councillor Matthew Lee, deputy leader of Peterborough City Council, Cambridgeshire councillor Shona Johnstone, who is a member of the police authority, and the current police authority chairman Ruth Rogers.

There will be elections for Police and Crime Commissioners in 41 policing areas across the UK. The biggest name to express an interest in taking part is the former deputy prime minister Lord Prescott in Westminster. Existing police authority members and politicians make up most of the others.

Robin Tilbrook – English Democrat – Essex

A POLITICIAN from Willingale has put himself forward to become Essex’s first elected police commissioner, and is also standing for London mayor.

Robin Tilbrook, chairman of the English Democrats party, is the second man to declare an interest in the commissioner job, following former chief superintendent Mick Thwaites.

The appointee will become one of the most influential people in Essex, with the power to hire and fire chief constables, set the force’s nine-figure annual budget and outline its priorities.

The election for the police commissioner post will be held in November.

“The reported failure of Essex Police to solve even a tenth of burglaries exposes the problem that Essex Police, currently, are wrongly prioritised,” said the 52-year-old.

“That can be corrected with the proper political determination and will.”

Describing his party as “unashamedly English nationalist”, the father of two has called for an end to “large-scale” immigration and for illegal immigrants to be deported.

Mr Tilbrook said: “I believe that the law of England should be properly enforced but it should be done in a way which accords with the democratic will of the people of our nation.

“I can assure your readers and the people of Essex that, if elected, it will be my mission to inject a healthy dose of good old- fashioned English common sense into Essex’s policing policy.

“I shall also focus the Chief Constable’s priorities on solving real crime rather than politically correct social engineering.”

Fascists might not be able to organise a p*ss up in a brewery, but they can certainly have a good time in Brussels at taxpayer’s expense!

Last week, Farage’s UKIP organised an event over in Brussels to highlight the absurdities of EU legislation on wine labelling. An English producer had fallen foul of legislation that has been in place for many a year, and so Farage saw a chance to score a cheap political point and get bladdered at the same time.

How nice to note that UKIP were joined at the event by one of their colleagues from Bloom’s pan-European political party, the EAF. UKIP MEPs and staff seemed so comfortable in the company of Marine Le Pen, with Farage’s gopher positively fawning over her to the point of embarrassment.

As one wag from another political group commented “The UKIP nutters made her look positively normal by comparison”.

Lesson 1. If you are going to court extreme right contacts in the EU and try to hide the fact at home, don’t be seen in public by politicians from rival political parties in the company of Front Nationale and Vlaams Belang!

Baroness Warsi suggests that the rise in the number of UKIP candidates matches the decline in BNP candidate numbers

A row has blown up between Conservative co-chairman Baroness Warsi and UKIP after she appeared to link the party’s poll success to the decline of the BNP.

UKIP is on course for its best ever local election results – mainly at the expense of the Conservative Party.

Baroness Warsi said it was “interesting” how an increase in the number of UKIP candidates had coincided with a drop in BNP candidates.

Her comments prompted an angry Twitter outburst from a UKIP spokesman.

Gawain Towler called Lady Warsi a “bitch”, prompting some of his 1,700 Twitter followers to criticise his “unparliamentary language”. He quickly deleted the post and and apologised, tweeting: “Deleted, out of order on my part”.

He later added: “Shouln’t (sic) have said that, apologise.”
‘Interesting mix’

UKIP’s deputy leader Paul Nuttall also responded to Baroness Warsi’s comments, calling them were “disgraceful” and “a sign that the Conservatives are very scared of UKIP.”

Speaking on the BBC’s election night coverage, Lady Warsi said: “Where UKIP is fielding candidates this time that the BNP did last time but they’re not this time, I think that will have an impact.”

She added: “There are members of UKIP who are from all sorts of political parties, but it is an interesting mix there in terms of the number of candidates.”

The BNP is fielding 131 candidates at this year’s local elections, far fewer than in previous years.

The anti-immigration party has blamed this on a cash shortage, but it has been rocked by defections and internal strife and appears to have focused its resources on the London Assembly and mayoral elections.

UKIP is fielding a record number of local election candidates, about 700, and is polling at about 14% in the areas where it is running candidates – ahead of the Liberal Democrats.

The party is attempting to broaden its message beyond its traditional anti-EU platform, with pledges to cut council tax and building more grammar schools but it has traditionally performed poorly at local polls.

Backbench Conservative MP Gary Streeter said Conservative supporters were sending a message to David Cameron that “they don’t think our leadership is Conservative enough” by voting UKIP.

Green Water Melon Caroline Lucas turns red with Labour ?

Tonight Caroline Lucas announced that she is to stand down as leader of the Green Party. On a statement on the Green Party website she said she was doing so “in order to broaden opportunities for the range of talent in the Party and to raise the profiles of others aspiring to election.”

On Twitter this evening her Conservative rival in the 2010 general election, Charlotte Vere, said that she was trying to think of another party leader to stand down voluntarily and then NOT withdraw from public life.

My understanding that Ms Lucas is not planning to withdraw from public life. Rather, she is to focus on defending her Westminster seat at the next general election as the Labour Party Candidate.

This is a shrewd move from Ms Lucas. Her profile as the lone Green MP is far greater than her profile as Party Leader. Of course being the leader gave her a significant advantage against Chuck Vere and Nancy Platts (the Labour candidate). However, having secured the win, she can now concentrate on her consistency base.

A criticism of Ms Lucas, if it can be called that, has been that she tries to do everything and might have been in danger of running herself into the ground. This blogger was concerned prior to the election that, if elected, her role as leader she would mean she could not devote sufficient attention to the constituency. She has proven to be an excellent constituency MP (as I have no doubt would have Chuck or Nancy – Brighton Pavilion was particularly fortunate to have had three exceptional women candidates in 2010).

If a new Party Leader can support Caroline in her role as a Member of Parliament, even using the platform that leadership offers to become an MP, then the Greens will have taken a small, yet significant step forward.

For Labour and Tory activists with an eye on the general election in 2015, this news will be greeted with dismay. It means that Ms Lucas’s near certain re-election has itself moved a small, yet significant step forward.

UKIP: Christopher Monckton gets into hot water!

Christopher Monckton – UKIP’s serial liar – has ‘upset’ Farage after calling on members of the British Freedom Party (ex-BNP members) to rejoin UKIP.

UKIP ‘front-line‘ spokeman Christopher Monckton has called on the far-right British Freedom Party to “come back and join” UKIP, in a video interview.

Monckton is also listed by UKIP as its Scotland Leader & Head of Policy Unit. He is an infamous climate change denier and previously called President Obama’s birth certificate “plainly a forgery”.

Christopher Monckton’s call to B-F-P members (video below) was made on 15th March, before the B-F-P made a pact with the English Defence League and named its leader Tommy Robinson as the B-F-P deputy leader.

The British Freedom Party was formed in 2010 and mostly populated by disaffected members of the BNP. A significant proportion were supporters of Eddy Butler – who failed to oust Nick Griffin as BNP leader in 2010. The B-F-P leader is Paul Weston – a former UKIP election candidate.

There were several instances of disaffected BNP members calling on other far-right nationalists to join the B-F-P, promising that it would not be another version of UKIP.
In the video interview, hosted in the United States, Monckton was asked his opinion of the British Freedom Party (at 28m.11secs in).

He says:

“I wish that the independent minded people who are willing to stand away from the major parties could remember that because we are so few, we should stand together.”

“And UKIP is, for all its faults, the biggest of the freedom loving, democracy loving, independent minded parties. And I don’t like this splitting off, which is very prone to happen in those smaller parties precisely because you have to be independent minded to start with. And this makes everyone willing to fight and go their own way.”

“But the British Freedom Party won’t really come to very much, I don’t think, and I would very much like them to come back and join us and we stand together…”

UPDATE UKIP have sent us a statement:

“The National Executive Committee of UKIP decided in January to include the BFPO amongst a list of proscribed organisations whose members, and former members are not welcome in UKIP.”

“Membership is not available to anyone who is or has previously been a member of the British National Party, National Front, British Freedom Party, British People’s Party, English Defence League, Britain First or the UK First Party. Any applications made from people who are or have been members of these organisations will be refused, and any subscriptions collected will be refunded. By applying for membership you certify that you are not and have never been a member of either of these parties.”

Christopher Monckton has been out of the country for almost the whole of this year, and it is unlikely that he has been following the details of our NEC meetings. To that end he was entirely mistaken in his view. Members and former members of the B-F-P are not welcome in UKIP.”

An odd excuse.

One of their key spokesman doesn’t know about a change in policy, and thinks far-right parties (the B-F-P always had far-right origins) was fine to reach out to?

Anti-English Labour “Nazi” Councillor in Southend under Police Investigation for Racist Hate

Police probe councillor’s jibe at English Democrats

A NEW Labour Southend councillor is facing a police investigation over his online pre-election comments.

Police have confirmed they are investigating remarks made by Julian Ware-Lane during his successful campaign to win a seat in Milton ward.

Robin Tilbrook, national chairman of the English Democrats, complained about comments in Mr Ware-Lane’s internet blog, comparing the party to wartime traitors.

Mr Ware-Lane wrote: “There is nothing patriotic about the jackboot politics of the far right.

“Never forget, while Labour party members were fighting the forces of far right extremism during the Second World War, the precursors of parties like the British National Party, the National Front and the English Democrats spent the war imprisoned as traitors.”

Mr Ware-Lane won his seat last Thursday, polling 675 votes, 68 more than sitting Tory councillor Nigel Folkard.

English Democrat candidate, Spencer Haggar, polled just 122 votes – the fewest of any of the five candidates. However, Mr Tilbrook complained to police ahead of the poll, and maintains Mr Ware-Lane’s comments may have cost his party vital support.

He said: “It was a deliberate smear. I appreciate there will always be a confrontational aspect to elections, but this went far too far.

“It was a disgusting comparison to make and I want the police to investigate it fully.”

If Mr Ware-Lane were to be found to have misled the public during his election campaign, he could be forced to give up his seat.

In 2010, Labour MP Phil Woolas lose his Westminster seat after two High Court judges ruled he had tried to stir up religious tensions to damage a Lib Dem election rival.

The ruling was the first such in 99 years, and some pundits warned it could have far-reaching consequences for future elections.

Mr Ware-Lane still maintains he has done nothing wrong.

He said: “The English Democrats in Southend have largely been taken over by ex-members of the BNP.

“That is shown by the public record.

“I will wait to see if I hear from the police.”

Six of the ten English Democrats who stood in the May 3 elections have previously stood in Southend for the BNP.
